apis: a client-server perspective

Last month’s MetaBeerTalks were all about APIs. MetaBroadcats, past and present, and friends gathered at the nearby Old Crown public house to hear Chris Anderson from the award-winning Electric Labs talk about his experiences in integrating mobile clients with others’ APIs, and me on how we build APIs here at MetaBroadcast to try to make clients lives as easy as possible.

Interesting discussions were had, beer was drunk, and a good time was had by all. In case you couldn’t make it, or if you did and would like a copy of the slides, here they are:

I’ll be writing a post in the near future covering the detail of my talk for those that didn’t make it along, so watch this space.

In other news, the next MetaBeerTalks are this Wednesday, where Chris Elleman from AWS will talk about building applications in the cloud, the right way and our very own Adam will tell you how monitoring [still kinda] sucks. Once again, it’s at the Old Crown, and we’ll kick off at 6pm. Hope to see you there!
