It’s the little things in life that often add up to the biggest difference. There is extensive documentation by now that I am a nearly daily user of our country’s wonderfully unreliable public transport facility, specifically trains in the southeast. When they inevitably fail and I end up late somewhere or am generally inconvenienced, it’s irritating, yes, but ultimately out of my control.
Not being able to use my phone because of its dead battery on those high-stress life threatening adventures on the other hand… that’s goddamn infuriating and absolutely within my control.
So I present to you this:
Anker Astro 5600mAh Portable External Battery Charger
It’s a portable battery charging battery, and will do 2 to 2.5 full charges of my Samsung S4. No longer shall I worry about turning on battery saver mode, or not mindlessly scrolling through whatever social media app happened to find itself under my finger while John Major’s legacy has me arriving 3 hours late to my destination, sitting next to 4 people on a 2 people seat.
What’s that I hear you ask? This is all very good, but now I have another thing to charge at night; I already struggle to find a single micro USB cable for just my phone… Fear not I have solved this problem as well;
Anker 40W 5-Port High Speed Desktop USB Charger with PowerIQ Technology
Behold, a non-mobile mobile (and other micro USB device) battery charging station, equipped to handle up to 5 of your devices. It provides ‘intelligent’ power control delivering the perfect amount of energy to charge stuff in the minimum amount of time. Sort of a reverse analogy of our national rail infrastructure. Plug your micro USB cables into this and forget about them. No longer do you need to poke blindly in the dark at 1AM while trying to attach a cable to a plug and a plug to a socket.
Thanks for listening to my rant!
