real-time data visualisation of #egypt on twitter for one hour
Powered by Project Leaf, tonight our homepage has hosted a real-time visualisation of what people were talking about on Twitter in relation to #egypt. We recorded the activity between 8:30 and 9:30 PM London time tonight, the first half of which coincided with the BBC weekly edition on Panorama, dedicated to the subject. We recorded everything at a 20x speed, so the thirty seconds video below shows the real-time activity recorded in the first ten minutes of the application being live. We’re quite happy with the results, though we can’t wait to begin a serious second phase of development—and if Project Leaf would provide a great broadcast companion for your TV or radio show, you stand a good chance to influence said development.
