lo and behold, we can haz big meeting room!
Apart from potentially mixing my metaphors, I’m incredibly excited that we finally have a meeting room that can host large meetings. Not that it wasn’t cozy on the upper floor, but it sure went hot when ten people got together, and there was only so much glamour in Ikea furniture (up for grabs on eBay). Enter marble top cafe tables and leather pub chairs, plenty of light, and, OMG, air conditioning!
We hosted 12 guests for 6 hours today, managed breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake, rivers of water, tea and coffee, and no one was harmed in the process! I did get the flowers into the room AFTER some guests had arrived, and Alex needs better command of elegantly balancing a food bar with our ginger pots (curious? another post coming), but overall, quite the success! If I say so myself :)
